Having kids is an easy out for why we can't lose the weight we want to lose and be thin and fit again. This excuse is a bad trap because it's pretty common and quite believable. I know, because I struggled with this one myself for years before I eventually conquered it.
I was in my twenties when I had my first three children, and each time I was able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight afterwards. It took lots of effort, but it was doable.
However, my last three children were different... I was in my thirties by the time they were born, and something had changed. I did the same kind of things to try to lose the extra weight and get back to my regular clothes, but somehow I just wasn't able to get back to where I had been this time. I tried extra hard for a while, but just couldn't manage to do it.
So I did what many others do. I fell prey to excuses. Why couldn't I lose the weight and get back to my pre-pregnancy clothes? It certainly wasn't for lack of trying... so I believed it had to do with the combination of age and having had six children.
And while it is true, there are circumstances that make things more difficult... the fact is, difficult does not mean impossible! You just have to realize it is possible, and then find a way. I'm here to help you do both.
