Are you having fun?

You should be! Yes, pursuing goals and dreams is hard work. Very hard work at times. But it should also include plenty of joy, satisfaction, and downright fun along the way.

If you're working on a fitness goal, for example... you are likely working out with cardio and/or weights (preferably both). This can get tiresome and hard to stick with a routine if it lacks fun.

Use your cardio time to listen to your favorite music or podcast, or watch a video on youtube, etc., so you won't be just watching the minutes tick by on the clock while you're sweating your way to being fit on the treadmill, elliptical, AMT, stationary bike, or rowing machine.

Mix things up a bit (or a lot): don't do the same exact thing every time. Do some of this, and some of that. Do something different to keep it interesting. 

Do what you enjoy in addition to your regular gym or home exercise routines: walking, bicycling, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, tennis, basketball, gardening... the list of possibilities is endless.

Whenever possible, do whatever you do with someone else and mix in some laughter. If you don't have a fitness partner, consider hiring a fitness coach for some motivation and interaction, (and to keep you on track).

Whether you are working on fitness goals or other goals, by mixing in plenty of fun you are much more likely to stick with it. And as we all know, sticking with it is how you reach your goals. So go ahead and find some fun today while pursuing your dreams! :)
