Would getting fit help with your other dreams?

What do you want to do in life? Would getting in better shape help get you there? Or would it help you do what you are already doing better? What could you do if you got really fit? Reach for the stars with your dreams?

I'd been hiking and such in our mountains for years, and I absolutely love it. But I had dreams to do bigger and better things in the mountains. Things I shrugged off as being beyond me at this stage of my life, but still having a yearning deep down inside to do them.

I eventually hit a crossroads and decided maybe some of those things could be possible if.... if I got fit once again. I came to the conclusion that I needed to get in the best shape I can to be able to do as much as I can before I get too old to be able to do it. And to be able to continue to do as much as I can in all of my years as I continue to get older. To see what my possibilities really could be. That was my main motivator for getting really serious with fitness and doing what I needed to do to get me to where I want to be.

So how about you? What could you do if you got in the best shape you could be in? Could you do things you've always wanted to do, but have passed off as something you can't do? Could you do the things you are doing better with more energy and less fatigue?

Getting in better physical shape with regular exercise (both cardio and strength training) along with consistent weight management has so many benefits, both in our day-to-day life and in the extra things we do. I have much more overall energy and gusto to tackle my daily responsibilities, and to get out and do those things I really want to do.

Stop missing out on the opportunities life has for you. It's time to get fit now and make those dreams happen!
